Mike Whaley

Mike Whaley began his career in the financial services industry in 1990 working as a 403(b) advisor. He is a graduate of West Virginia University with a degree in Music Education. He holds FINRA Securities licenses 6, 7, 63 & 65, as well as Life and Health insurance licenses. In addition, Mike has earned his CFP designation.



Having a practice built on the foundation of financial planning and focused on the prudent use of financial products, Mike is able to help his clients reach their retirement, educational and estate planning goals. He works closely with employers and is able to provide financial education and wealth building strategies to their employees. He believes in the concept of constructing a diversified portfolio designed to help build wealth while also helping to provide some protection from market downturns.

Mike has lived in the Howard County area since 1996. Mike has been married to his wife, Toni, for 36 years. Together, he and Toni have three adult children and three granddaughters. They also have two Shih Tzus, Bear and Willow. In his spare time, Mike enjoys performing as a vocalist and keyboardist, both as a solo artist and as part of a band. He is also passionate about serving families affected by disabilities and Wounded Warriors through the Joni and Friends organization.
